nEbO celebrates workplace rights for interns with ‘Thank Your Intern Day’

For the first time ever in Singapore, a youth social movement will be launched to raise awareness of interns’ workplace rights. Initiated by members of nEbO, the junior membership arm of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), ‘Thank Your Intern Day’ (TYID) is a month-long campaign that would culminate with an outreach event on 10 October, a special day of the year to commemorate the movement to encourage appreciation of interns among employers.

Youths Earn Awards for Contributing to Work, World & Life-Ready Community

nEbO, the junior membership arm of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) held its annual Spirit of Youth Awards on 13 April 2013 to recognise the contributions of its various youth members in the community. Attended by Guest-of-Honour NTUC Secretary-General Lim Swee Say, he praised the youth community for its success in engaging its members meaningfully, nurturing and supporting active, responsible youths who contribute to society.

Youths Set Not One, But Two Singapore Book of Records at The Quest 2013

Over 2,000 youths conquered an Amazing Race style challenge today at nEbO’s signature event, The Quest 2013 – Survivor Legacy. Competing in teams of four at Sentosa, they overcame obstacles and completed activities designed to test their wits, skills, strength and knowledge about NTUC and the Labour Movement. The race, which was flagged off by Guest-of-Honour, Mr Lawrence Wong, Acting Minister for Culture, Community & Youth, also included two record-setting bids by nEbO at the MegaZip Adventure Park and the day ended in a brilliant success.

nEbO and Yio Chu Kang Secondary School Ink Agreement to Strengthen Partnership in Student Education and Development
