Q5. What is the main objective of nEbO? [Top]
As the junior membership of the Labour Movement – NTUC, nEbO aims to actively reach out and socially engage the youths, who will form the future workforce of Singapore, to work towards creating a community of Work-Ready, World-Ready and Life-Ready youths.
Work-ready
Work-ready youths are equipped with the skills and qualities they need to succeed at the workplace. Benefitting from their exposure to work situations, they have garnered essential work experience with an understanding of job expectations, which will ease their transition to working life.
To prepare youths and to expose them to industries related to their course of study before heading out into the workforce, nEbO has been partnering various unions and organisations to organise learning journeys. nEbOians gain an insight into the daily operations of the various organisations, the career opportunities available, and are also informed of the roles of unions and how they play a part in protecting the interests of workers.
World-ready
World-ready youths have the aptitude and knowledge to thrive and succeed in a global environment. They are informed about local and global affairs, are highly adaptable to different environments and have the courage to try new ideas.
nEbO imbues youths with the entrepreneurial spirit to push boundaries and overcome challenges. Educational events such as the Youth Entrepreneurship Symposium encourage nEbOians to come together, generate new ideas, while connecting them with other successful entrepreneurs and business leaders. In doing so, they will begin to acquire the skills and networks needed to compete with their global peers and prepare them for the globalised economy.
Life-ready
Life-ready youths are resilient and exhibit socially competent attitudes. They have a ‘never say die’ spirit, are self-confident and are able to establish and maintain quality, mutually satisfying relationships with others. Possessing compassion, they are able to empathise and care for others, especially the less fortunate and underprivileged in society.
nEbO engages youths through various events and activities, while helping them to discover their interests and develop potentials. nEbOians are encouraged to take on leadership roles within the community and given opportunities to plan, organise and lead activities with the support and guidance from nEbO advisors. To instil a sense of social responsibility among youths, nEbO organises care events that provide volunteering opportunities.
Part 2. nEbO card
Q1. What are the benefits/privileges of the membership? [Top]

Q2. What are the requirements in order to join the membership? [Top]
You must be a full-time student between ages 12 to 21. For those above 21(up to 25,) as long as you are not working full time; you are welcome to join. For those turning 12 this year but have not reached their 12th birthday, you are still able to join, but approval of the application would be on a case by case basis.
Q3. How much is the membership fee? [Top]
The usual price* of nEbO membership is $117 per year.

Q5. What is the validity of the card? [Top]
The validity of the card takes effect on the issue date which is either 1 year or 3 years depending on the type of membership subscribed.
Q6. Is the card transferable? [Top]
No. This is a personalised card strictly to be used by the applicant only.

Q8. When will I be able to receive the card upon sign up? [Top]
Online application: Mailed within 2-3 weeks, completed with payment and photo submission **If either payment or photo not submitted, or application is incomplete, system will prompt applicant to come down to counters to provide photo and payment before card will be issued.
On-site application: On same day (may vary)
Q9. Return policy [Top]
Renewal of membership is only applicable upon date of expiry of membership. Renewal of memberships could be made at nEbOmation @ E!hub – Downtown East Level 4, nEbO Hub @ Ang Mo Kio Hub or any AXS machines.
Q10. Upgrading of membership [Top]
Upgrading of membership is not allowed anytime upon the commence of membership.
Q11. Renewal policy [Top]
Renewal of membership is only applicable upon date of expiry of membership.

Q12. Replacement of lost card [Top]
A charge of $10 will be levied.

Q13. If I lost my card, will I be able to get back my stored value in the card? [Top]
LinkPoints will be carried forward to the new card as account is based on member’s NRIC.
Q14. Can I subscribe to more than 1 card? [Top]
No, an individual can only apply for one nEbO card.
Q15. How do I submit photo for my nEbO membership that I have paid for? [Top]

Part 3. LinkPoints

Q4. When will the LinkPoints expire? [Top]
i) LinkPoints earned in a calendar year will expire on the 31 December of that year. However, cardholders are given an additional six months grace to redeem their points (till 30 June every year). LinkPoints not redeemed after the grace period the following year will be expired. (Points earned this year will expire the following year)
ii) LinkPoints will be void once nEbO membership expires unless member has existing U Card to credit over.
Q5. How and where can I redeem my LinkPoints? [Top]
You can readily redeem your LinkPoints at any of the participating merchants outlets identified with LinkPoints´ signages. Or you may check out the list of LinkPoints merchants at www.plus.com.sg
Q6. Is it possible to combine the LinnkPoints in my parent's U Card with the LinkPoints in my nEbO card for redemption? [Top]
Cardholders are able to combine up to 2 cards for redemption.
Applicable only at Downtown East only.
Q7. If there is a replacement of my card, will my LinkPoints be reinstated? [Top]
For damaged card, points earned will be carried forward to the new card. For lost card, please see answer for Part 2, Question 13.

There are Internet facilities, café, youth bulletin board, board games and nEbO merchandise. There is also a multi purpose room for movie, birthday party celebrations, small seminar/meeting available for booking (approx 15 to 30pax & is strictly for members only).
nEbOmation @ E!hub
The nEbOmation counter is located on the Level 4 of E!hub @ Downtown East, along with a mix of major names in entertainment such as Colosseum, Zone X, Funky Balls and Cathay Cineplex to meet your every entertainment need. The objective is to promote youth involvement in our society and to encourage creativity and entrepreneurship among youths in Singapore. Here, you will find a wide range of items and service specially catering to the youths such as nail services, class tees-printing, apparels, accessories, IT gadgets, etc… Don’t miss this place that is customised for you and ONLY YOU!
